Q: How many 35th Anniversary Blackbird's were built?

A: Nineteen plus 1 white prototype for twenty total.

All were 6-speeds except #18, it was automatic. #6 is one of two Sunset Orange's made. There were 3 convertibles of the 20 (#7, 10 & 11).



Q: How many of the 19 were of different “Phases” were built?

A: CAR #6, & #15 ARE PHASE 2 CARS AND #19 IS A PHASE 2X. (Jim Smith once owned #19)



Q: Were there 3 distinct HP versions?

A: YES, ALL OF OUR CARS WERE BASE 380HP, EXCEPT THE ZL1 AND DICK HARRELL EDITIONS, WHICH WERE BASE 400HP WITH THE LS6 ENGINES.

THE PHASE 2 CARS WERE ORIGINALLY 435HP AND THEN WE UPPED THE HP IN JANUARY OF 2004 TO 475HP AND CALLED IT NOW A PHASE 2X PACKAGE.

THE PHASE 3 CARS STARTED AROUND THE END OF 2002 AND WE USE THE GM PERFORMANCE PARTS C5R RACE BLOCK. IT IS A 427 CUBIC INCH MOTOR AND WE RATED IT 600HP.

FOR THE DICK HARRELL EDITION CARS WE CHANGED HEAD AND CAM SUPPLIERS AND NOW RATE IT 630HP, AND CALL IT PHASE 3X.

WERE ARE NOW WORKING ON BUILDING THE C5R BLOCK INTO A 454 MOTOR AND WE REFER TO IT AS A PHASE 5. WE HAVE BUILT A FEW OF THOSE MOTORS.

THE PHASE 2X AND PHASE 3X AND PHASE 5 ARE AVAILABLE ON ANY GMMG CAR, AS FAR AS AN UPGRADE. WE DON'T WORK ON STREET CARS AND ONLY WORK ON GMMG CARS.



Q: Explain the door Tag #

A: Tag number means . . . 21026 ........2=2002, 1=LS1 motor, and 026 is the 26th car GMMG built in 2002.

Tag # is from Bobby Labonte Blackbird #38
