#9 Dick Harrell - new owner Aug 2026
GMMG Registry Group (Authorized)
Sriyantha Weerasuria
So stoked to get DH#9! Ever since I saw it come up on Mecums website I knew I had to have it.
Just wanted to give big thanks to Micheal Gregory, Wade Phillips, Aaron Barnell for their help and support on acquiring #9.
Suddenly I own 3 Dick Harrells and 1 Berger Convertible in just a few months .
The red car got loaded today and should be here by the end of the week.
Lots in store for it. As soon as it lands, it will go straight to the Bodyshop that did #15.
Fenders will be cut/ trimmed so I can lower it, paint will be cut & buffed, full PPF. Complete undercarriage detail and all new UMI suspension including coil overs.
Mark Bowler is building a Magnum F transmission and my buddy, who used to own Texas Speed, is building a 441ci LS7.
I also have a custom set of Fikse Wheels FM5’s being made as well.
This one has 146 miles on it, it will have quite a bit more after everything is done!
On a side note, I got to meet the lady who sold off her late husband’s collection.
She was so sweet, was very happy I got #9 and even walked all the way to the other side of the buildings to take a picture with me.
Also got to meet Matt Avery and Sam Bush, great guys.

Sriyantha Weerasuria is with Michael Gregory and
She’s here- spent some time doing a basic detail, undercarriage, engine and body.
Even though this motor won’t be in here long, I changed the oil since the last recorded oil change was in 2011.
Since I decided to keep the cage, it needed repainting badly.
I removed the seats, bagged everything, removed the whatever was left of the old paint, sanded and repainted the whole cage.
After it dried, I detailed the entire interior.
Also removed the DH stripes so the Bodyshop could wet sand and buff the entire car after the fenders get trimmed.
Then off to PPF, I have decided to put the DH decals on just the sides for now on top of the PPF .
When I get back from the Good Guys Road tour, she should be done at PPF.
Suspension after, new wheels and tires will be here as well.
I’ll drive it around after that until the power train is ready

She’s home with her siblings-for now.
Got her back from the Bodyshop Friday, fenders trimmed, paint wet sanded and buffed, full UMI suspension done yesterday including coil overs. Dropping her off late this week for full PPF, installing DH side graphics on top of the PPF.
Headers, aluminum radiator & fans from Hawk’s on the way as well as a magnum 6speed & Tilton dual disc clutch coming from Bowler Transmission’s. Fikse FM 5’s with a custom deeper dish will be here end of the month.
Only other thing will take a bit longer is the 447ci motor. We are currently waiting on pistons and crank.
For now, she’s looking really nice.
The original paint came out great so no paintwork was needed.
I installed full LED lighting today as well.
