1999 GMMG Firehawk (1 of 1) - 500hp

Post by daytonajim »

One car was built. It was sold in 2012 from an Arizona collector that owns the 4 iconic GMMG's & is now back east.

The car has been totally redone & is really nice

The attached pictures were sent by Mike at GMMG. Many were taken at GMMG.

One-of-a-kind 1999 Pontiac Phase II Extreme Firehawk that was custom built by GMMG of Marietta, Georgia. GMMG is well known for their exclusive licensed dealer and limited production series Camaro and Trans Am Supercars. This was the only Firehawk built at GMMG as a special project for one of their valued customers. The Firehawk project was managed by the General Manager and Senior Technician, Mike Carnahan. Built to GMMG Phase II performance specs, Mike added to this performance package by doing additional machine work to the heads, thus making it a Phase II Extreme with 500HP. The “P2X” is engraved in the heads by Mike to indicate this unique performance designation. The Firehawk was delivered to GMMG with approximately 40k original miles and was completed in May of 2006 and had the following performance upgrades:

 New LS1 Aluminum Engine

 New Automatic Transmission

 New Rear-end w 3:73 Gears

 LS6 Aluminum Intake

 Performance Camshaft, Pushrods and Valve springs

 CNC Ported and Polished Aluminum Heads

 GMMG Chambered Exhaust with Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips

 Custom Long Tube Headers with Hi-flow Cats and Y-Pipe

 ASP Pulley and Shorter Belts

 Big Brake Package w/ 13” Cross-drilled Rotors

 Ported Throttle Body

 Performance Lowering Springs and Swaybars

 Zenetti Chrome 18” Wheels - Five Series – Staggered

 Special GMMG Badging

This rare GMMG Firehawk has been an Arizona car since the GMMG upgrades and has been well maintained. The stunning 2 stage paint was just completed and micro-sanded and polished to a show finish. Documentation, including the original title, all email correspondences with GMMG, work-in-progress pictures at GMMG, service records and receipts are available.

Question: what are the "4 iconic GMMGs" you mention? Are you talking about the owner that has the dark blue Dick Harrell and lemans blue ZL1?
