Dyno of my 1997 30th Anniversary Camaro SS LT1 Convertible

Just for the fun of it....................I dyno'ed my 1997 LT1 30th Anniversary Camaro SS convertible this morning. The reason why I did it was...................last month when I had my 2001 Dale Earnhardt Intimidator SS dyno'ed.................I registered for the drawing there at Karl's Performance and I won a $25.00 gift certificate. Three dyno pulls are $50.00 plus $3.00 for Iowa State Sales Tax.......................so I ended up getting my dyno pulls for a grand total of $28.00 this morning.



I was pleased with the outcome. My 1997 LT1 30th Anniversary Camaro SS was rated by Chevrolet at 310 h.p. with the performance exhaust (which mine has) and after calculating for the loss through the drive train for an automatic transmission (18% loss through drivetrain)...................my third and last pull was my best and would equate to 316.594 h.p.at the crank and 343.97 ft. lbs. of torque at the crank. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE OLD GIRL. She only has 18,600 miles on her but she is 17 model years old now.







My wife told me before I left this morning..........................."Be careful and be gentle with her.................she's getting old".. :text-lol: I think she cares more about the car than she does about me. :text-lol:
